A luxury four bedroomed traditional style country cottage set in 140 acres of park and woodland. Offering attractively presented family accommodation arranged over two floors and situated in a pleasant rural location to the edge of Gilsland village with views over surrounding countryside. This delightful cottage offers fantastic amenities for couples or family holiday.

It is situated in the heart of Hadrian's Wall country. The local attractions are endless. It is a fantastic place to stay to be able to visit the Lake District, the Scottish borders and Gretna Green. There are many interesting towns like Newcastle, Carlisle, Hexham, Haltwistle, Corbridge and Hayden Bridge.

The picturesque town of Brampton is also close by with many interesting places to visit including, the famous Cumbrian Antiques Centre. Heather Bank Cottage is situated only a few hundred yards from the Spa Country Hotel. The Spa offers excellent eating out at reasonable prices, to include a carvery Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. They have pitch and putt and croquet

Outside Rear enclosed court yard with gate and path leading to the 140 acre of private woodland, river and water falls. Front garden withopen view over the hills. Garage used as wood store and ample private parking for many vehicles.

Further Details The Spa Hotel is only 200 yds from 'Heather Bank' They provide meals an open bar and insid and outside activites. The vilage has three pubs, a post office and general store and we now have a new cafe.

Local Information The village of Gilsland and surrounding area is full of history and places of interest.

Leisure Facilities This is walkers and cyclist heaven. Golf course near by. Horse riding, Fishing and much more. Hadrian's Wall runs through the vilage. Many archiology sites and roman forts.
