Our bungalow is at Carbis Bay,just 1 mile from the centre of the picturesque holiday
resort of St Ives.The bungalow is in a quiet semi-rural setting with its own parking.We
provide tastefully decorated rooms and fully fitted kitchen,TV,DVD and many other
appliances to make your stay as homely as possible. Within walking distance of
the beautiful and award winning Carbis Bay beach which offers views out to Godrevy
lighthouse and has a vast sandy beach excellent for families with young children
to play and swim safely. If St Ives is the jewel in the crown of Cornwall, then
Carbis Bay is surely a treasure waiting to be discovered. The beach is usually
relatively quiet in the height of summer possibly because it is yet to be discovered
by most holidaymakers. Our Accommodation is inspected and approved annually by
the accredited St. Ives Hotelliers & Guest House Association

room(sleeps 2) and one twinbed room(sleeps 2).Both have ample storage facilities.

KITCHEN Including Cooker, Microwave, Fridge Freezer and Washing Machine.
Outside: The
bungalow has its own private garden,a small patio area with patio furniture and
also has parking provision. There is a bar and restaurant facility on the site
during peak season.

Cleaning
& Linen: The
property is cleaned on Saturday mornings after 09.30am readywhich for changeover.Bed
linen can be supplied at a small additional cost.
Local
Information:
With a gently sloping beach and usually a calm sea, the beach is ideal for small
children.Small inflatable boats are commonplace whilst offshore you may find the
occasional water-skier or windsurfer. To avoid the crowds during the busy summer
months in Cornwall, Carbis Bay beach offers a perfect place to spend a lazy day
topping up the tan or helping build the kids sandcastles.
At
low tide a walk around Carrack Gladden point takes you to the views that inspired
John Miller to paint.Imagine a beach with smooth fine sand , azure blue sea and
gentle waves breaking on the shoreline — here you can escape the rush of city
life and relax as you stroll along Carbis Bay beach.
At
low tide you can walk around Hawkes Point to Hayle or cut though the sand dunes
past the golf course to Lelant where you can enjoy a spot of lunch at The Badger.Then
take a slow amble back along the cliff pathway where you can enjoy the dramatic
views across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse.

our local beaches on the Atlantic and Channel coasts If St Ives is the jewel in
the crown of Cornwall, then Carbis Bay is surely a treasure waiting to be discovered.
St Ives is now a year round resort but to escape the crowds you can stay at Carbis
Bay and yet be within easy reach of St Ives.. Carbis Bay beach is privately owned
and maintained by Carbis Bay Hotel so it is not overcrowded. The cliff walk to
St Ives past the hotel is not to be missed, nor a walk to Porth Kidney Sands with
spectacular views to Hayle and Godrevy Lighthouse. Watch the dolphins, enjoy the
changing colours of the sea.
St
Ives Bay: Just along the coast from St Ives lies the quiet village of Carbis
Bay. The village offers a more sedate and spacious setting for a holiday with
ample parking, shops and amenities. St. Ives and Carbis Bay are well known nationally
for consistently winning the major trophies in the annual Britain In Bloom competition
and in 2006 conquered the world! by winning the International Challenge trophy
in the Communities In Bloom competition.

Carbis
Bay: affords
visitors easy access to St Ives via the quaint four minute train ride on the single
track link. Visitors young and old love the train journey with its beautiful views
out to sea. Alternatively you can take a 20 minutes leisurely walk by the delightful
coastal path into St Ives Quiet, private and relaxing it is the perfect base to
either explore the delights of Cornwall or simply adjust to Cornish pace and enjoy
one of the worlds most spectacular locations. St Ives Bay also has the prestigious
honour of being one of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World of which there are
only two in England.

road away from St Ives - this is where you enjoy proper fish and chips - possibly
one of the best in the country - people travel for miles - so be prepared to wait.

is a traditional family oriented pub with play area and beer garden. Bar menu

a good selection of real ales.
Pizza
Patio Al Fresco - 01736 753745 - situated on the main road through Hayle specialising
in fresh dough pizza and pasta dishes. Watch the sunset from the terrace and sit
by the waters edge watching the tide filling the pool at Hayle.
