Accommodation Details

Bedrooms: One Double bedroom and One Twin bedroom with divans.

Bathrooms: Modern fully-tiled modern bathroom with over-bath shower & glass shower-screen.

Living Rooms: newly decorated and furnished with 2 2-seater leather sofas, coffee table and reading lights, book-case, 32inch flat-screen HD TV with DVD player. Night-storage heating.

Kitchen: Modern fitted all-electric Kitchen with double oven & ceramic hob and cooker hood, microwave, refridgerator with freezer, Kettle, toaster, all utensils, crockery etc.

Other Rooms: Patio with chairs and linking table with umbrella. Woodland views. Free use of heated outdoor pools (Mid May until Mid-September). 2 miles from sandy beach. 3 minutes walk to the launderette.

Cleaning & Linen: Welcome pack of tea,coffee, milk etc on arrival, One bath-towel and one hand towel per person per week, 2 Tea towels per week. Beds made up ready for you on arrival. Consumables included: Washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll etc.

Accomodation Notes: General heating is by Night-Storage heater included in the tariff. additional electricity is charged on a coin meter. Awarded 3-Star Quality by VisitBritain (from January 2009)

Outside: Patio at the front gets sunshine from around 11am until dusk. Views of the woodland glade and brook. Garden chairs with removable cushions and parasol, are linked with a coffee table. Floral gardens at the front and woodland flowering shrubs at the side. Large shared 20 metre heated outdoor swimming pool with separate children's pool with surrounding lawns.

Further Details: Kilkhampton has two convenience shops, a Post Office, 2 country Inns and a real butcher!. The main local shopping and banks etc are in Bude. There are a multitude of independent shops, plus a Morrisons and Co-op. A wide variety of restaurants, take-aways and pubs serving food.

Local Information: There are two pubs, both serving bar and restaurant meals, within a five minute walk of the house. The village shop, next to the church, also has an excellent cafe serving meals all day (a terrific breakfast) and internet access. Local produce can also be bought from the Post Office on the sea front. Kilkhampton is an old-fashined Cornish Village, The ancient town of Stratton (famous for Civil War battles) is 4 miles. Bude is a bustling town with family owned shops, large sandy beach. Many Surf schools use part of the beach. Coastal walks, rambling, cycle alongside the canal. Golf, Fishing, Horse-riding, cycling, exploring hidden coved or sight-seeing — it's all here

Leisure Facilities: Woodland Lodge is located in the parkland surrounding a 19th Century Manor House. The former stables (3 minute walk) now has a Bar and Grill, games room and small convenience shop and ofen has live family-friendly entertainment. The Manor House (5 minute walk) has an entertainment suite with nightly Cabaret and a leisure auite with Indoor 22 metre pool, jacuzzi, sauna, indoor green bowls, Squash, Badminton, tennis etc. Sandy beach is 2 miles away and suitable for surfing, Golf, horse-riding and fishing locally. Children (aged 3 — 12) have free membership of the Children's Activity Club at the Manor House.

Changeover day: Bookings generally Saturday to Saturday although short breaks can be accommodated in Spring and Autumn. Arrival after 3pm and departure before 10am is requested, but may be flexible.
